The consortium Schacht Asse 5 (ARGE Schacht Asse 5), consisting of Deutsche Montan Technologie GmbH (DMT), Essen, K-UTEC AG Salt Technologies, Sondershausen, and THYSSEN SCHACHTBAU GMBH, Mülheim an der Ruhr, has been commissioned since early 2011 with the preparation of the conceptual planning for the new Shaft Asse 5 of the Asse facility in Remlingen, district of Wolfenbüttel. The client is the Federal Office for Radiation Protection, Salzgitter (BfS).
